87. Ibiza
The best-priced wine list in the city — and a serious one, at that — is a huge draw at this comfortable white-tablecloth restaurant in Midtown, the flagship of Charles Clark and Grant Cooper’s group. So is the civilized service. While the baroque Creole-Euro food may wander into over-embellishment or muddiness at times, under new sous chef Amanda McGraw, it is tilting back toward the menu’s Spanish roots. Her spicy lamb empanadas and her plump-to-bursting quail with a clever herbed yogurt sauce are the sort of specials that hint at good things to come.
