To fuel your shopping expedition, step up to the counter where ladies who mean business will assemble your sandwich to order, piling on the hot lengths of jalapeno, the French butter, the pates and exotic cold cuts, all sparked with sprigs of cilantro and pickled carrot. The sandwich to order here is the Dagwoodesque combination banh mi, which is so inexpensive you might as well get a couple to go. They’ll taste even better later, once the flavors have had a chance to marry.
